Customer Link
Customer links create personalized shopping experiences by automatically adapting content, products, and offers based on individual customer data. These smart links use customer information to deliver relevant products, pricing, and messaging for each shopper.
Customer links are part of our dynamic links feature set, available on Pro and Growth plans.
How it works
When a customer clicks on a customer link, the link will automatically apply shipping information from the customers profile in Shopify.
You can combine a customer link with the other cards that are available for your picked link type. I.e. add a free gift or a discount for any customer who clicks on the customer link. This is a great way to increase the conversion rate of your customer links and create customer loyalty.
How to configure
You can make any link a customer link simply by toggling the Dynamic card on and selecting Customer in the list.
Toggling the Dynamic card on and selecting Customer in the list will change the structure of the link. A customer link consists of two parts:
- The original link with shortcode
- A customer ID

https://{STORE_URL}/a/link/{SHORTCODE}?customerid={CUSTOMER_ID}
How you get the customer ID depends on your use case and the platform you are using, it won't have any affect on the customer link itself.
We've created a Shopify Flow template to sync customer ID's from Shopify to Klaviyo. You can use this template to sync customer ID's from Shopify to Klaviyo and use them in dynamic links.

What's a customer ID?
The customer ID is the customer ID in Shopify. You can find it in the URL of a customer's profile page in Shopify.
https://admin.shopify.com/store/{STORE_NAME}/customers/{CUSTOMER_ID}
You can also reach it through Shopify Flow, the Shopify API and other platforms. Reach out to us if you need help with finding the customer ID for your specific use case.
