Promotions

Add promotions to your checkout links to boost conversions. Create simple offers or build tiered promotions that unlock based on cart value or quantity.

Promotion Types

You can add four types of promotions to any link:

Order discount

Percentage (e.g., 10% off) or fixed amount (e.g., $5 off)

Free shipping

Remove shipping costs for the order

Free gift

Add a free product to the cart

Discount code

Auto-apply an existing Shopify discount code

Stack multiple promotions together - for example, free shipping + 10% off + a free gift.

Simple Promotions

For straightforward offers without conditions:

1. Enable Promotions

   Toggle on the Promotions section in your link editor.

2. Add a promotion

   Click Add discount and select your promotion type.

3. Configure the promotion

   Set the discount amount, select the free gift product, or choose a discount code.

4. Stack more promotions (optional)

   Click Add discount again to add additional promotions. They all apply to every order.

Tiered Promotions

Offer different incentives based on cart value or quantity. Great for encouraging larger orders.

Setting Up Tiered Promotions

1. Create your first tier

   Enable Promotions and add your first set of discounts.

2. Set a threshold condition

   Change the condition from No threshold to Cart total or Cart quantity.

3. Set the value range

   Enter the minimum and maximum values for this tier. For example, $0 to $50.

4. Add another tier

   Click Add promotion to create a new tier with a higher threshold range.

5. Configure each tier

   Add different promotions to each tier. Higher tiers typically get better offers.

When you set a maximum value on a tier, Checkout Links automatically suggests the next tier start at that value + 1.

Duplicating Tiers

Click the duplicate icon on any tier to quickly create a new tier with the same promotions. The threshold values automatically increment based on the original tier's range.

Promotion Details

Order Discount

Apply a percentage or fixed amount discount to the order.

• Percentage - e.g., 10%, 25%, 50% off
• Fixed amount - e.g., $5, $10, $20 off (auto-converts to customer's currency)

Free Shipping

Remove shipping costs for orders placed through your link. Toggle it on - no configuration needed.

Free Gift

Add a free product to the customer's cart.

1. Add a free gift promotion

   Select Free gift from the promotion type dropdown.

2. Select the product

   Click Select gift and choose the product you want to give away.

Discount Code

Auto-apply an existing Shopify discount code at checkout.

1. Add a discount code promotion

   Select Discount code from the promotion type dropdown.

2. Search and select

   Search for the discount code you want to apply and select it from the list.

Make sure your discount codes are active and available on the Checkout Links sales channel in Shopify.

Abandoned Cart Recovery

Create tiered promotions for your Klaviyo abandoned cart flows:

• Low-value carts ($0-$50): Free shipping only
• Medium-value carts ($50-$150): Free shipping + 10% off
• High-value carts ($150+): Free shipping only (protect margins)

Product Launches

Reward early buyers with launch-day promotions:

• Free gift with purchase
• Launch discount (15% off)
• Free shipping
