Admin Extensions

Checkout Links provides built-in shortcuts throughout your Shopify admin that let you create links without navigating to the app. These shortcuts appear as menu actions on product pages, order details, customer profiles, and more.

Where to Find Shortcuts

Admin action shortcuts are available in six locations across your Shopify admin:

Product Details Page - Create a link for a specific product while viewing its details
Product List Page - Create a link from any product in your product list
Product Selection - Create a link when selecting products anywhere in admin
Order Details Page - Create a reorder link from a customer's previous order
Customer Details Page - Create a personalized link for a specific customer
Customer Reorder - Create a one-click reorder link from a customer's order history

How to Use Admin Actions

From Product Pages

Navigate to a product — Go to **Products** in your Shopify admin and click on any product to view its details.

Open the actions menu — Click the **...** (More actions) button in the top right corner.

Select Create Link — Choose **Create Link** from the dropdown menu.

Configure your link — A modal will open with the link creation form. The product will already be pre-selected. Configure your link settings: link name, custom slug, discount percentage, additional products or free gifts, and dynamic features.

Save the link — Click **Create Link** to save. The link will be created and you can copy it immediately.

From Order Pages

Navigate to an order — Go to **Orders** in your Shopify admin and click on any order.

Open the actions menu — Click the **...** (More actions) button in the top right corner.

Select Create Link — Choose **Create Link** from the dropdown menu.

Review pre-filled items — A modal will open with all items from the order already added to the link's cart. The link name will be automatically set to "Reorder - [Order Name]" (e.g., "Reorder - #1001").

Customize if needed — You can adjust quantities, add or remove items, add discount codes, and enable dynamic features.

Save the link — Click **Create Link** to save. The link is now ready to send to the customer.

From Customer Pages

Navigate to a customer — Go to **Customers** in your Shopify admin and click on any customer profile.

Open the actions menu — Click the **...** (More actions) button in the top right corner.

Choose your action — You'll see two Checkout Links options: **Create Link** (creates a new personalized link for the customer) and **Create Reorder Link** (creates a link with items from their most recent order).

Configure the link — The customer ID will be automatically associated with the link for dynamic features. For reorder links, all items from their last order will be pre-filled.

Save and share — Click **Create Link** to save. You can now share this personalized link with the customer.

When managing products in bulk, use the product list action to quickly create links for multiple products without opening each one individually.

Admin actions are especially powerful when combined with dynamic links. Create a base reorder link from an order, then use it as a template for automated campaigns.

Important Notes

Admin actions create links in the same way as the main app interface. All features are available including discounts, free gifts, dynamic mode, and eligibility rules.

Make sure you have the necessary permissions in your Shopify admin to create and manage links. If you don't see the Create Link action, check with your store owner.

Troubleshooting

"Create Link" option not showing

If you don't see the Create Link action in the dropdown menu:

Check app installation - Ensure Checkout Links is installed and active
Verify permissions - Make sure you have the necessary Shopify admin permissions
Refresh the page - Sometimes admin extensions need a page refresh to load
Clear cache - Try clearing your browser cache and reloading

Link not pre-filling data

If the link modal opens but doesn't have pre-filled data:

Check product/order status - Make sure the product or order is active and not archived
Verify product availability - Ensure the product has available variants
Check network connection - The extension needs to fetch data from Shopify's API
